My New Stock Pick is GUPR |
By Chris Johnson I’ve made it rather clear over the past few weeks that I love earnings season. It creates expectations, it moves sentiment to extremes, it gets stocks moving, it gets the adrenaline flowing … in short, it opens up opportunities. |

GUPR in 2006 had sales revenues of roughly $31 Mill. USD!!!GUPR doesn't have the exposure like Alibaba but that could very soon change as suggested by the the pick up in volume and price. If the media catches wind of GUPR it could explode!Like I noted in my previous email, be smart use a stop loss on all your trades and switch to a trailing stop when you are in the green. GUPR is a paper manufacturing company in China, their plant is huge which covers over 220,000 square meters. View a picture of GUPR's plant here: GUPR over the last few years has become one of the leading manufacturers and exporters in China specializing in Unique and high grade paper products. GUPR has made a very nice run the past few days and I believe the potential here is much higher!! When I was in China a few weeks ago I alerted everyone to CPSL at roughly $4 before it ran to $11 a few days later!!! Now I don't know if GUPR will ever run that high but the company is providing a commodity everyone needs, which is paper. View the 10 day chart on GUPR here: as you can see the move just started and this is the first real dip before a possible second wave up. Think about it for one second, paper is used for everything from packaging to personal hygiene. With 1.3 Billion people in China consumption of paper is enormous. GUPR is the type of business that will always be around. GUPR is not your here today gone tomorrow type of company. This is an industry that will be in demand for years to come. The national production of wrapping paper and paperboard in 2004 reached 49.5 million tons while the consumption was about 54.39 million tons, requiring about 10% to be imported. With China serving as a global manufacturing and exporting center, a massive quantity of cartons are required for China's packaging and shipping needs. According to the RISI statistics, the consumption of Kraft paper in China increased from about 13.0 million tons in 2002 to about 18.2 million tons in 2004 with a compound annual growth rate of 18.3%; the estimated consumption in 2009 is about 28.2 million tons. GUPR also has a diversified product portfolio with various types, grades, burst indices, stacking strengths, basis weights, printability and brands to meet a variety of customer requirements.
GUPR has 3 revenue streams which comes from their 3 subsidiaries, Lipu Lubao Paper Recycling, Cuangxi Lipu Paper Manufacturing, Hengli Power Generation.
