Sort of -- McDonald's and Coke offered theirs years ago, but companies do this frequently. Of course, it's not as good as it sounds -- just IPOs of subsidiaries, I wrote it all up here:

It true that McDonald’s and Coke are offering 500-b shares very soon ? I received an email from This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it stating that Mcdonald’s and Coke are doing that very soon. 
If this comes along I will go for it any of you have any more information please post here for me Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated
