Oil may not be as high as it was last year when it reached $150 but it looks like we're still in an uptrend. Oil has rallied 80% already this year! We are a world that is very dependent on oil, but high oil prices and a planet that is overheating at an alarming rate is causing us a lot of harm. This has led me to believe that companies like AFTC are going to surge in the near future. AFTC already has test projects with industry leaders like Volvo and Ford! AFTC realizes that if we don't start looking towards long term alternative fuel solutions now, it will just be much more difficult and expensive later when we are forced to. There is a new ultra clean fuel replacement called DiMethyl Ether (DME). DiMethyl Ether. will reduce dependence on petroleum, significantly reduce vehicle emissions and lower green house gas emissions. This alternative fuel is produced from abundant resources like stranded natural gas; coal and biomass. AFTC has developed a common rail fuel injection system for DiMethyl Ether that is reliable, low cost, and can be retrofitted to most modern diesel engines. To see an illustration of AFTC's system, click here: http://www.altfueltechnology.com/products.html DiMethyl Ether is an excellent green solution. When burned in a diesel engine, all soot emissions are eliminated and NOx emissions are lowered dramatically without the use of expensive exhaust after treatment devices.
NOx emissions can cause respiratory problems such as asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis! It can even aggravate heart disease, do damage to lung tissue and cause premature death! DiMethyl Ether lowers lifecycle CO2 emissions (a green house gas that causes global warming) when it is produced using biomass feedstock. If we could switch all internal combustion engines to burn BioDME, we could significantly slow global warming! AFTC has positioned themselves to be the leader in the DiMethyl Ether Fuel System market! At current oil prices, DiMethyl Ether can be produced and distributed at less than 1/2 the cost of conventional fuel which is probably why companies have been exploring the use of DiMethyl Ether for years now. Governments in China, Japan, Korea, and many parts of Europe are investing heavily in DiMethyl Ether plants and research. AFTC's ultimate goal is series production of DiMethyl Ether fuel systems for the global automotive market by 2011! AFTC recently announced that Volvo Powertrain visited AFTC's offices recently to see the latest DiMethyl Ether developments and to discuss supplying Volvo with AFTC's new DiMethyl Ether high pressure pump for combustion and emissions development. Volvo already has six DiMethyl Ether fuel systems and has been using AFTC fuel systems in field demonstrations and in laboratory research since 1995! AFTC CEO James C. McCandless states, "The Technology has been proven and in use since 1995. This contract could earmark AFTC to become one of the only companies that offers such a unique and well needed global product as energy markets become cleaner and more environmentally conscious." AFTC also signed a contract in 2008 with Ford Motor Company to supply them with a DiMethyl Ether fuel system for a single cylinder alternative fuels/emissions research project. AFTC is on schedule to make delivery of the DiMethyl Ether Fuel System in August of this year. AFTC is using a Ford Land Rover 4-cylinder diesel engine that will fire only on one cylinder. The Company is testing this system now and all tests currently are on track for shipping. If successful, Ford has stated that they will do a full engine and car demonstration. AFTC CEO James C. McCandless states, "Being that Ford is one of the Big 3 Auto Makers that has not been so negatively affected by the slowing economy, we are proud to have them as a potential client and help them steer the boat to meet today's demands." DiMethyl Ether can also be used as a propane replacement for home heating and cooking and a gas turbine fuel for power generation. The Chinese, Japanese and Koreans are investing heavily in DiMethyl Ether, both in R&D and the construction of production facilities. AFTC's fuel system technology could possibly change the world! AFTC recently announced that they have received a Phase 1 SBIR1 from the United States Army to assess the acceptability of running jet fuel (JP-8) in a very high pressure (30,000 psi) diesel fuel injection system! Even the U.S. Army is interested in AFTC! For more information on AFTC visit their website at:
